Dr. Blessed Udo-Ekpo Foundation (BUEF) is a non-profit organization established with the aim of harnessing and improving the wellbeing of underprivileged individuals and communities through the provision of scholarships, economic empowerment, capacity building, public enlightenment and environmental sustainability advocacy in Nigeria.
Founded by Dr. Blessed Effiong Udo-Ekpo, BUEF commenced its empowerment programmes informally in 2005 but became fully formalized in 2023. The foundation is fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria.
The Blessed Udo-Ekpo Foundation is APOLITICAL and its life-touching programmes support some of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as poverty alleviation, support forquality education, provision of clean water, promotion of good healthcare, and advocacy for sustainable environmental actions (SDG #1, 4 &6). As a private citizen, the Dr. Blessed Udo-Ekpo Foundation’s programmes are solely funded by the founder’s family. Meanwhile, the Foundation is open for partnership with other NGOs and establishments for the betterment of society.
