Founder
Dr. Blessed Effiong Udo-Ekpo is an industry professional, author, philanthropist, minister of God, entrepreneur and mentor. He hails from Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
A product of God’s grace from a humble beginning, Dr. Blessed holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree, two Postgraduate Diplomas (PGDs), two Master’s Degrees (MSc and MBA) from the University of Uyo, and two Doctorate Degrees (PhD in Environmental Pollution and Control from the University of Calabar and DSc in Strategic Business Administration & Corporate Leadership from the European American University).
He also holds an Advanced Certificate in Leadership & Management from the London School of Business Administration, United Kingdom, and a Certificate in Project Management from the International Business Management Institute, Berlin, Germany. Additionally, he is currently undertaking another postgraduate programme in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering.
A thoroughbred professional with eight experiential backgrounds covering Engineering/Maintenance, Compliance Advisory, Business Management, Project Management, Environmental Management, Strategic Leadership, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and Aviation, Dr. Blessed is certified by several international bodies including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), USA; University of Texas at Austin (PETEX), USA; Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation (OPITO), United Kingdom; University of Copenhagen (SDGs); and the American Petroleum Institute (API).
He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School (LBS), a Fellow of the Institute of Entrepreneurship & Executive Development (FIEED), Ghana, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Administrators & Researchers of Nigeria (CFIAR). He is also a Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (MSPE), Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (MNSChE), and Nigerian Environmental Society (MNES).
In his quest to impact humanity positively, he founded the Dr. Blessed Udo-Ekpo Foundation (BUEF), aimed at improving the wellbeing of underprivileged individuals and communities through scholarships, economic empowerment, capacity building, public enlightenment, and environmental sustainability advocacy.
The Foundation has awarded several educational scholarships, donated homes to homeless families, provided water projects to rural communities, distributed thousands of exercise books and pens to students, sponsored vocational training, and supported business start-ups. It also promotes academic excellence through awards for the best graduating students at the University of Calabar (UNICAL) and Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU).
Dr. Blessed is happily married to Mrs. Idorenyin Hope Blessed-Udo, and they are blessed with children.
